The proposed Blue Rock Lake Nature Track is a very accessible 1km extension to the existing walking track that the Tanjil Valley Landcare Group constructed along the shoreline of Blue Rock Lake in Willow Grove. It will wind through existing native vegetation and culminate on the shore of Blue Rock Lake. Seats and interpretative signage featuring indigenous flora and fauna and indigenous culture will be installed along its length. It will be utilised by the local community and the wider Gippsland community. It will also be accessible to the disabled community.
This project will further develop Willow Grove's reputation as a destination for people who love the outdoors. The addition of another 1.0 km of walking track will provide excellent health and well being benefits for the local community. It will attract visitors to the area, already popular for fisherman, kayakers and swimmers and it will grow the local economy. It will help to develop an awareness and appreciation of the natural beauty of the Willow Grove, Blue Rock Lake and its indigenous fauna and flora. It will be a valuable asset for the Willow Grove community.

The end of this track has some historical interest in that it was a pumping station site for town water in the past.

Love the idea. It's a beautiful area and we often go there with our dog for a walk.
