At Kingston Heath Primary School, we are passionate about promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. As part of this we encourage students to walk, ride or scoot to school, however our current infrastructure does not enable more than 15 bikes to be stored correctly, and no option of hanging scooters or locking the items. We would love to provide our students with a lockable shed that can safely and securely store bikes and scooters during school hours. This project will enable many more students to ride or scoot to school, and have a positive impact on their overall health.

For quite some time our school community has expressed the need for a new shed that will enable bikes and scooters to be securely stored during school hours. The current bike shed does not cater for our school of over 300 students, with capacity for only 15 bikes. Security has been a key concern because the current shed is unlockable and has no provision to secure equipment individually. The new bike shed will not only benefit students in the short term, but also future students in the many years to come.
