Moving Bendigo to become the Bike Riding Capital of Regional Australia we will:
- Inspire communities to ride by growing awareness of comfortable places to ride;
- Build community capacity to cycle more through workshops, pop-up learn-to-ride parks and courses;
- Develop cycling culture collaborating with local artists creating route artworks;
- Build on Bike Palooza Bendigo (annual festival), Open Streets Bendigo and regular community rides;
- Support development and activation of infrastructure such as trails, separated bikeways, trial implementation;
- Coordinate organisational efforts to progress development of a cycling friendly city including community.

Bike Bendigo is working to develop Bendigo’s cycling culture, capacity of individuals and community to ride more often and encourage the development of safe and comfortable cycling networks to support more people riding more often for everyday transport.

Sustained efforts will contribute to significantly improved physical and mental health, happiness and wellbeing within our community. Health and transport related costs can be reduced and safe, comfortable travel options made viable for young and old across Bendigo.

Bike where you Live - affordable, happy, safe and healthy cycling for all.

This is a very important issue, on one hand we have the cyclist. On the other hand we have the motorist. The bottom l8ne in this matter it that we all share the road! We have reach a staillmate in the options on what we can do to fix this problem before someone is hurt or killed, this is a project worth looking at very seriously to come to a suitable solution for this growing problem.

Ian...and then what?

Hopefully with some generous partnering from the responsible road and reserve authorities (cogb, vicrds, vicgov, etc) this project will go a long way to putting concrete paving, road furniture, paint and signage down that changes the face of our city. (Just remember to respect pedestrians as well, motorists mostly have the advantage already)
