Big Hill Mountain Bike Park is used by thousands of locals and tourists. It attracts riders, racers, bushwalkers and music festivals. The current trailhead facilities are inadequate for events and there are no appropriate shelters/BBQs/drinking-water facilities. We plan to make the trailhead a place where people want to hang out, socialise, eat and enjoy the view. We'd like to instal BBQs, shelters, tables and seating. We'd like to improve the 'events shelter' to provide an all-weather, all-purpose facility that the whole community can utilise. We'll install a bike-wash, repair stand and improve trailhead signage.

Our project will enhance the Big Hill Mountain Bike Park for the whole community. We will create an inviting place for people to meet and enjoy the amazing Kiewa Valley views. We will create a rejuvenated 'events shelter', which will provide significant benefits to the locally-run National and State cycling races held there every year. The shelter will also improve logistics for music events and any others that wish to use this iconic location. The bike-wash will allow riders and racers to clean their bikes, preventing damage to bikes and cars. It will also help prevent the spread of weeds.

A great initiative for the whole community! Over 1,000 hours of volunteer labour in the last 12 months has made this area more popular than ever. The proposal would help take the park to the next level and make it more usable by cyclists, tourists, walkers and festival goers.

This would be a huge attraction for tourists. Already 50% of our clients are mountain bikers and cyclists. It Weeould not only benefit the sports enthusiasts, but also the lical businesses.

This bike park is an incredibly flexible location. The current arrival/storage/parking area has been outstripped by the quality of the mountain bike trails. Improved facilities would benefit not only the major mountain biking events now hosted at the park, but would support walkers, photographers, families and other event managers in providing a unique setting at the foot of Victoria's highest peak.

An important addition to enhance the community use of the park and to improve the services provided to existing events which will encourage greater participation in sport and recreation.

I really like the concept of this project because it will support the community, residents and tourists to better enjoy the outdoors and local environment either actively through Mountain biking or more passively at a music festival or similar event. Good luck!
