Best Spots.....Celebrating our communties real life moments in Reservoir

Best Spots can be experienced in four exciting stages.
1. Artist Dan Goronszy hangs a giant map of Reservoir in the community centre, inviting anyone for a cuppa and a chat, to anonymously share and pinpoint memories within public places in Reservoir.
2. Beautiful Best Spot markers are placed around Reservoir, locating memories where they occurred. E.g, Best Spot to cry in public 1994, or fall in love at first sight 1952.
3. An accompanying digital platform allows passers-by to connect with the entire project narrative.
4. A public event launching the work, including ephemeral artistic responses by local artists.

Best Spots provides a very human snapshot into our community, sharing annonymous real life moments with strangers. It celebrates love, loss, fortune, mediocrity, big ideas, pains, mates, favours and new beginnings.
This non-confrontational, grass roots project, gently introduces people to the lives of others that they share the same spaces with, on a regular basis, yet may never in fact meet.
Passers-by may stand on each Best Spot and be moved, surprised, delighted, or feel connected through shared experience, on the streets of Reservoir.
Local artist Dan Goronszy creates unusual arts experiences to inspire conversations about humanity and the world.
