The BYC refurbishment will address the lack of updated facilities needed by families, seniors, disabled members and visitors to the club, provide a safe and secure environment.
We wish to provide disabled toilets/showers, ambulant toilets and enable suitable access and comfort to members/visitors for the foreseeable future.
These will enhance the sailing experience for all members/visitors and lead to an increase in participation rates, including Sailiabilty (currently providing the sailing to the disabled), manned by volunteers.
In support, our club will address these challenges by the provision of further suitably trained and qualified volunteers, providing safe, appropriate and welcoming facilities.
We intend to build an alfresco style cafe overlooking the lake, open to visitors from other clubs around the lake and general public.
Refurbishment will enable us to also host more events which will in turn bring further spending and visitors to the region.
During 2018 we have hosted two Regattas, which were open to the public and had visitors to the area in excess of 100 for each event.
We plan to have further events bringing sailors and visitors from all over Victoria, who will require additional accommodation, supermarket, dining venues, fuel outlets etc.

The proposed additions to the Bendigo Yatch Club will be a great benefit to Members and visitors. The club is a self help organization with family engagement as a prime reason for it's
continued role, providing facilities for the younger generation. Being able to provide further facilities will certainly be encouragement to the group

Such a great inclusive club. One of my favourite places to spend time. The club is ran by volunteers, any money donated for upgrades would be like a big pat on the back for their many hours of behind the scenes work. It would help make sure the club continued to bring families and friends together for many more years to come.

This is a great community resource that services a larger part of Central Victoria, I am particularly impressed with their youth training initiatives and support network.
This club has a very dedicated team of members that maintain the facilities and follow good practices in governance.

By allowing wider (disabled) usage of this facility will greatly improve the life of those individuals and promote the uptake of an underutilised resource, (Lake Eppalock) and tourism in central Victoria.
