All pony and adult riding club members and the local riding community will have access to this facility. A small fenced, safe and secure all weather surface will encourage increased participation in horse riding activities. Specifically it will offer improved accessability of riding for the very young and inexperienced, the nervous or beginner adults, women returning to the sport and those with disabilities wishing to participate with confidence.
The arena can be used for lessons, social riding and small events making the activities more inclusive for all abilities.
This would be one of very few such facilities in the local area open to the local community at all times. At present many activities are aimed at riders with considerable ability. With this facility activities can better cater for the less experienced and lower ability riders who want to be included. Such riders are usually young girls and older women returning to the sport after having children. By feeling safe and secure participation and enjoyment would occur for all abilities riders.
