Beechworth has so much to offer. We've got stunning natural surroundings. Amazing people. Skills, knowledge, artistic talent. Shared values, and true community.We would like to see a playspace that does justice to the innovative thinkers in this town, and the ones we are raising. A space that inspires curiosity, creativity, and gives us an opportunity to connect to our children and our community, through play. We are a group of local families, artists and architects, builders and project managers, in partnership with Beechworth Health Service, with a vision for a playspace built by community, for community.

Research has shown that play is critical to children’s physical, emotional and cognitive development. When we inspire children to get outside and play, we foster intellectual and social skills, school readiness, fitness and healthy lifestyles. When we play alongside them, we foster deeper connections with our children, and make new connections within our community.

Our innovative, inspiring playspace will appeal to locals and visitors, alike. When young families come to visit Beechworth, we will be able to share with them our community playspace, and all the values it stands for - curiosity, creativity, connection, and a healthy dose of play.
