I think this would be the best project for our town.Would attract camping by the river and encourage folk to stay awhile.

The Lions Park attracts many caravanners and visitors. In summer it is dry and uninviting. The green areas would be used by visitors and locals alike. Our creek provides a pleasant and restful background, and the lawns a wonderful place for picnics.
A beautiful rest stop would attract visitors to the town and bring an income to local businesses. Silo art and the lions bush turkey sculpture attract visitors to the town. Barbecue facilities are free to all, as is camping. Tennis courts are located within the park and provide a recreation opportunity for the townspeople and visitors. A pergola offers shade during hot weather and is a good place to shelter from rain. Family groups will use this area for family gatherings.

I wholeheartedly support this activity. We need to improve our facilities in order to attract more people to the township both as visitors and hopefully those that see Tungamah as a wonderful place to live. Having an area that this attractive and vibrant for families to gather and socialise is imperative.
