BBQ Sweets and treats

Dawn till Dusk FDC service runs a cooking session on Tuesdays with the children in Day Care. The children get to takes some of the baked goods home at the end of the day to share with their families. Educator is wanting to teach the children about sharing with other people in our community so we are wanting to bake home-made treats for PEOPLE IN NEED in our local community to be shared out at a BBQ held every Wednesday afternoon in Mooroopna for anyone in need of food, support or just socialisation.

There is a lot of stigma around homeless people, of which there are a large number in our own local community of Mooroopna. Educator and the children want to run their BBQ Sweets and Treats project for education for the children, as well as being able to bring PEOPLE IN NEED together and support each other. The BBQ session held on Wednesdays is for anyone in the local community to get together and socialise. If the people of the community have the opportunity to have a comfortable area to sit and talk then PEOPLE IN NEED can feel supported.
