Ballarat Disc Golf Course in Victoria Park

A project that is aimed at encouraging all ages, demographics, genders and families to be engaged and get active with the delivery of a low impact, fun, flexible and unique sport of Disc Golf.

This is an informal opportunity which will engage a variety of networks in our community; seniors groups, school groups, community groups and families to engage and participate at their free will.
With the aim to engage all members of the family from kindy aged children to grandparents to get out there and be active at their own pace in their own free time.

The implementation of a carefully designed, accessible, free, 18 hole Disc Golf course will provide:
• Opportunities for the growing amount of physically inactive people in our community and that requires minimal technical ability
• Increase socially inactive or socially isolated individuals to engage with others
• Improve isolation and mental health challenges
• a low impact activity for all to enjoy
• a pathway opportunity for ultimate frisbee
• an opportunity that doesn’t currently exist in Disc Golf
• Increased active recreation in Victoria park, activating the site.
• Address the issues obesity and active recreation drop out rates
