Avoca Silo - Multiplex Outdoor Art Project

Located within the Avoca Arts & Gardens Precinct and currently under development with the Pyrenees Shire's collaboration, the silo offers unique innovative, inspirational art and cultural opportunities while building on community social capital.
Crowned with an illuminated sculpture atop and its large silvered walls serving as a 'blank-canvas' for multipurpose events, the transformational objective is its creation as an iconic landmark destination.
Out-door movie screenings or specialized art showings, sound & light shows for theatrical/aerialist performances, music concerts -staged and back-lit - along with digital image projection events are examples of the project's multipurpose/technological capability and expanded community-wide participation opportunities.

Lacking suitable outdoor event venues, the Avoca Silo's multi-function dedicated space embraces general-purpose or carefully tailored activities applicable to age, capability and interests of its differing demographics - students to the aged and its many groups - Pyrenees Cluster Schools to the Avoca U3A.
Inclusion of the visibly transformed silo into the Pyrenees Sculpture Trail, a proposed Rainbow Art Foundation initiative, plus the newly created Silo Art Trail adds to the project's economic benefit and monetized through greater visitor numbers.
Cultural enhancement results from participants/audiences extending their experience of multimedia art presentations - thus contributing to the town's overall well-being.
