Aqua Energy 50m Outdoor Pool Cover Project

This project would provide commercial style pool covers that would be utilized at the Aqua Energy Complex in the Wellington Shire in Sale Victoria. This project would allow our local swim club and indeed the whole community to use the outdoor pool for much longer periods during the summer months for fitness, training and competitions and allow the complex to maintain more consistent pool temperatures and reduce operating energy costs for heating by limiting the amount of natural heat loss through evaporation and heat transfer. The covers would need to be sourced, manufactured and installed prior to this summer.

The project would assist the shire to reduce the running costs of the complex or at least provide an increase to the services for a similar cost. It would increase lane space for the facility members and the general public by allowing the Sale swimming club to train outdoors for greater periods throughout the year which ultimately increases the indoor lane space at the complex. It also allows for the public to use the outdoor pool for longer for general fitness and well being.
