Apollo Bay - Do It Like A Local

DO IT LIKE A LOCAL will provide a portal for visitors plus new and part time residents to discover what’s on offer and how to gain access.
The project will create and administer an online and human resource that identifies, develops and promotes opportunities for community and visitor involvement in the diverse range of recreational, social and educational activities available in Apollo Bay.
Whether it’s learning to paint, playing petanque, discovering netball, trying out community radio, pig farming or the local indigenous bush tucker, you really will be able to DO IT LIKE A LOCAL.

The key to the success of the project lies in the effective gathering of “bookable” events from the 150+ sporting and social groups in the town and then offering them on one easy to access platform.
Once compiled and in use, this resource will deliver not only easy access, but ultimately valuable data as to the popularity of various activities on offer.
In summary 'Do it like a local' will deliver a single solid reliable bridge to the life of our community. It will also build overall community awareness, appreciation and social capital.
