Apsley Community Hall kitchen upgrade

The hall is used in many capacities, including monthly markets, weekly Senior Citizens, fortnightly Sewing Group, RSL (Anzac Day Service), Primary School, Racing Club ball, Karate, Funerals and private hire - all which attract people to meet in our town.
It is the only facility with the capacity to hold more than 100 people in a sit down function and host performances.
The current kitchen facilities are below standard and do not allow the community to use the kitchen for catering purposes. The upgrade would include installation of new stainless steel workbenches, storage, commercial oven, flooring, bain marie and fridge.

Events hosted at the hall are made difficult as groups have to outsource catering because current facilities are sub-standard. If the kitchen facilities are not upgraded community groups may have no choice but to hold functions outside of our town. This would isolate members of our community whose ability to travel is limited.
The hall is a hub for our community giving people a space to connect. Without decent facilities, the town may lose its meeting place.
Our small but vibrant community thrives when events are hosted in the hall; we would not want to lose this.
