The Centre will offer a space for silent study as well as spaces where students can meet privately with their tutors. I intend to open a program to employ people from the local area to offer tutoring through the centre at a reduced rate so as to make this service more accessible to underprivileged families. I would also like to provide a small library of specialised educational resources such as advanced language and science texts as well as offering weekly lectures in areas such as resumé writing, computer literacy, social networking, and other important life skills.

The primary benefit of this project will be in supporting young people to improve the skills and opportunities they need for whatever educational or vocational pathway they have chosen for their future, whilst at the same time supporting and highlighting the value of less commonly showcased leadership qualities such as self-discipline, independence, hard work and perseverance. I also hope to encourage young people to take on leadership roles within the centre in order to manage the oversight and administration of the facility, and subsequently improve opportunities for employment and work experience for young people within the area.
