An Information and Triage Centre for Victims of Violence

To establish a new Centre that will provide information, referrals, advocacy and immediate crisis support to all people who are affected by physical and/or emotional violence. Immediate assistance may include supporting the victim by filing a police report, referring them to a medical centre or hospital, and other agencies such as Legal Aid, VOCAT, interpreting services, Community Plus, CoHealth, Safe Steps, 1800 RESPECT.
Also to develop programs with local service providers in areas of personal, home and community safety, and to improve the wellbeing of the victim.
This service will be available to victims of all forms of violence.

This project will benefit the local community by focusing on the following areas:
1. Advancing health by referring victims to immediately receive appropriate professional services to improve physical and mental health such as doctors, psychologists and social workers.
2. Advancing social and public welfare of victims by connecting them to support services which provide awareness of cultural and linguistic needs.
3. Personal, home and community security to improve awareness and safety.
4. To provide educational programs such as to assist victims in developing coping strategies in personal safety, self-defence and building their self esteem.
