The Indigo Adult Riding Club would like to build a roof over the existing sand horse riding arena located at the Racecourse Reserve Chiltern. This will provide sanctuary from the elements for all riders throughout all seasons of the year as this arena as it currently stands is very open to the elements . We envisage that the arena will be widely utilised by equine community groups from Chiltern being the Indigo Adult Riding Club, the Chiltern Pony Club, Chiltern Rodeo Club, the Barrels and Buckles group and various other equine enthusiasts from the district and further afield.
The town of Chiltern and surrounding district are very equine focused and there is a real need for a facility of this sort being made available. An undercover arena would be seen as a tremendous asset for the local community and the Racecourse Reserve group as a whole. A facility of this calibre would facilitate more visitors to the area which will ultimately assist local businesses both small and large. We envisage that the facility will be heavily utilised by all equine groups in the district and will be a draw card for equine enthusiasts from around Australia.

Fantastic initiative for Chiltern and surrounding district!!
What an asset for Chiltern and surrounding districts. Great initiative!
Chiltern has a large horse population that would be able to access the arena for many horse disciplines
This would be amazing and benefit so many people.
This will be an asset to the community.
