All weather cricket pitch

The all weather cricket pitch and seating around the South St Primary School oval will allow the Moe Junior Cricket Club to have access to a smaller ground for Under 12 Junior Cricket. This will allow the connection between South ST Primary School and the club to increase number for young children to be involved in cricket. The oval is already a shared facility with Moe Junior Football Club and will further the connections with the community sporting clubs. The seating will allow for parents to be able to view the sporting events.

The project will allow for an increase in junior involvement in cricket. By having the all weather cricket pitch, it will allow children to have success by playing on a smaller ground and allow the Moe Cricket Club to further build their development of junior players leading to senior cricket. South St Primary School and Moe Cricket Club has connections through the user groups of Ted Summerton Reserve and the Moe Early Learning Precinct. Currently, the sporting facilities in Moe does not have an oval that is able to cater for under 12 or younger children to play cricket.
