All weather basketball/netball court cover

With a commitment to providing opportunities for our students to be active and encourage a diverse range of health related programs, we intend to build a roof over our existing basketball/netball court. Installing a roof will allow the court to be utilised year round, further enhancing student engagement with regards to health and wellbeing. The roof will be a steel construction with the intention of this to be an installation that has the potential to be further enhanced over the coming years. The south end of the structure will be enclosed as secure storage for school equipment.

Longford Primary School endeavors to provide opportunities for students and local residents to lead healthy and active lifestyles. Given the open nature of our school, we find many members of the community regularly access our site outside of school hours to make use of the outdoor facilities. By investing in infrastructure that supports a diverse range of activities, we are recognising and promoting the importance of being active and healthy. With no similar facility within the local community, we will engage with local groups to encourage being active while building a strong sense of community belonging.
