The Willaura Tennis Club and the Moyston Willaura Football Netball Club will use this upgraded facility all year round; tennis in the summer months and netball in the winter months, therefore encouraging collaboration between our local sports clubs and maintenance of one facility. Multipurpose courts will be open to the general public for recreation use all year round. Court lighting will encourage and promote night tennis competition, increasing tennis participation within our local community. Enable netball training/games to be scheduled at more convenient times. More shelter in the winter months for officials, leading to increased participation in netball.
Multi sport courts promotes sport and recreation in our town, encouraging greater participation from our sporting clubs and the wider community and promotes a healthy lifestyle.
The courts are situated in close proximity to the playground, therefore encouraging more women in particular to play sport knowing their children are within close proximity.
The new surface will provide a safer playing environment for players, umpires, officials and volunteers. Currently both tennis and netball court surfaces are cracking and in need of repair and one multi use facility will reduce ongoing maintenance costs.

This has been needed for a long time. As all the other teams in the mininets football netball league have had 2 courts to play netball on for the last 20 years, yet willaura has not!!
