A great project, innovative, creative and especially wonderful to highlight/educate about local animals unique to our area.

Alexandra’s Beasties will engage primary school children in describing Indigenous fauna, with a focus on vulnerable animals and their habitat. A master artwork based on the children’s designs will be installed along the school fence. Social media storytelling is a feature of the project.
The project’s three core activities:
* Artist-led workshops and educational presentations by ecological caretakers
* Master design for the artwork, plus a series of augmented reality postcards
* Out-of-school club for people aged 5-18 working with the artist to instal the artwork, plus a project exhibition and booklet, and "Exploring the Mural" community events
The Alexandra’s Beasties project’s main objectives:
* To celebrate the unique expression of each student in a whole school art project
* To educate locals and tourists about the area’s unique ecology and the indigenous and endangered species that live within it
* To educate students about the local ecology and ecological issues
* To provide creative workshops where students can explore a range of art materials and processes
* For local young people to work alongside a professional artist to realise the mural
* To present new digital technology (augmented reality) in an accessible and fun application
