A all-year-use building would be a great addition to health and fitness for all ages.

Swimming is an activity used by health practitioners everywhere to promote good physical and mental health, restoration of function, and social interaction in their clients. As for teaching children to swim throughout the year, that's just pure common sense and because of our geographical position, heated pools in other towns are beyond the reach of most families budgets. This will be a fantastic asset to the Alexandra community.

Our community really needs this, it would be beneficial and well used by people of all ages. fingers crossed!

As an older person with a disability this would be ideal for me personally as well as many others in our local and surrounding community

How long will the pool be? Would be amazing to be also able to lap swim in winter months.

An indoor pool would be very well used by diverse groups in Alexandra and close by small towns

With the only access to aquatic activities available in the summer months, the Alexandra community desperately requires a year round heated pool to cater for all age groups: ranging from learn to swim classes for the young to therapy sessions for the elderly.

Learn to Swim lessons are essential in every community including rural areas. It is a life skill. The benifits for the community are huge, which include excercise for the elderly & disabled, people recuperating from surgery, as well as learning to swim. Our community needs this facility.

Our community would benefit immensely having such a wonderful facility available for all age groups. Currently people drive some distance to have the use of a heated pool for their children to get swimming lessons in. Then you have the implementing of exercise routines into the facility for all age groups also. Being a heated pool those with arthritis and bad knee and hip joints would gain a lot from water exercise classes but the water has to be warm. Here in Alexandra we cater for all surrounding towns so this facility would be used all year round. With the primary schools also in all the surrounding towns and kindergartens plus play groups there would be the option of conducting swimming lessons and swimming programs all year round not just in summer when the outdoor pool is open.

I believe the above project could benefit both the young and especially the older generation with exercise through water aerobics .
