The Harmony Garden will be open and available to the public to spend time nurturing edible fruit and vegetables, tapping in to the rich source of migrant knowledge that is available in the neighbourhood. The walking track will provide an enjoyable walk across the reserve where people can enjoy being close to nature. As part of this project comfortable seating will be appropriately installed at strategic points around the reserve. The mural art piece will capture the activities that are enjoyed by many of the users providing an aesthetically pleasing visual for all to enjoy.

The Ainsworth Project will provide a learning platform for a younger generation to learn the skills of growing fruit and vegetables that was and is such a defining characteristic of the post war migration in the area. Volunteers will be able to pass on their know-how to a younger cohort through engagement with the Harmony Garden. Access to all parts of the reserve will be made attractive through a walking pathway ensuring people can recreate and meander in a safe and enjoyable way right round the oval. The mural art piece will provide mental health benefits celebrating local use.

Provides another platform to educate for kids outside school. Also provides another reason to get out of the house. Great initiative for community.

The different uses for the Reserve sound fabulous but of importance is teaching children to get their hands dirty creating gardens.

Great point Linda. We are hoping to tap into the vast knowledge of migrants in the area to pass on their skills and knowledge to young people - Wonderful opportunity

Social connectedness is very important if we are to continue having a vibrant, inclusive community where everyone feels the belong. This project is about celebrating and welcoming the whole community to enjoy Ainsworth Reserve as an inclusive open space. Welcome everyone.
