As a growth area, Epping North and Wollert have few local sporting or recreational activities provided for young people. This project will install a high ropes course and adventurous playground equipment at Edgars Creek Secondary School. The high ropes course will be available to students from local schools and Scout groups supervised by trained instructors and will be secured when not in use. The low-height bouldering and cross-fit modules will be installed in a freely accessible part of the school grounds available for community use. The land will be levelled, rocks removed and equipment and mulch installed.

Epping North and Wollert need community spaces for youth and adults that encourage physical activity and social connection. Free access to equipment that challenges young people and encourages teamwork is limited in the northern suburbs. The high ropes course will be made available to schools in the northern metropolitan area, local Scouting and community groups and for community or corporate events. The bouldering and cross-fit modules can be used by anyone in the community. This space will enable people to get outdoors, be physically active and connect with other community members. Being such a new area we have a lot of children coming into teen years and nothing here for them. This would be perfect. In saying that also make it affordable for them to
Be able to attend these facilities also if chosen for this project.

wonderful project that has opportunities for great play for many age groups....fitness trails have great success overseas and children need opportunities for managed risk, confidence building, fitness and diversity in play.

I also feel we need more equipment to cater to the older youths as younger equipment is well established there seems to be a gap for older youths

We really need some play equipment that is suitable for older children and teens. This would be so fun for the school students during breaks plus community to use out of school hours.
