Over the course of five radio programs we explore the story of the Latrobe Valley - a community built on coal. We examine the region's rich history beginning with a mandate to power Victoria. We then follow the rise and fall of coal then to the future - innovative renewable projects. Through the web, radio series and podcast we look how a resilient community can develop innovative renewable projects: like micro-grids, community energy hubs and sustainability networks. There will also be a grass-roots social media component to provide a space for the community to discuss future renewable projects.

This is a project for all Victorians, available through radio and podcast. It will include a website with engaging content such as drone footage and personal interviews. The purpose is to provide an inspirational case study that will allow Victorians to begin thinking and organising renewable energy and sustainability projects that benefit their entire community and beyond.

Through the BZE network, website and community renewable summit Victorians will be able to contact industry leaders with ideas for their local communities. The discussion will enable them to feel connected, stimulate discussion and extend their network.
