The Discovery Science & Technology Centre will install a 3 x 3 interactive tile floor between the Market Place and the Bendigo Railway Station to engage mostly children in games that will use up human energy, and convert it into electricity.

Children can jump and run on these tiles, and learn about how much electricity can be generated by their activity. They are learning about energy usage and efficiency - and are active and using their own energy.

The community benefits by inspiring children to learn by play about energy generation and usage. They take the lessons home, and inspire their families.

The community also benefits from an interactive sculpture in an empty plaza which is visited by hundreds of people every day. The games will help connect people as well as connect energy into the electricity grid.

The project meets several community goals, including giving young children a good start, encouraging physical activity, and creating a community space.
