The active path will provide all ability access that will link key assets around the eastern side of the lake, including the township, Caravan Park and the Catalina Museum. The public related infrastructure will complement existing active paths around the lake foreshore and will cater for a variety of users in a safe environment. The project has been independently investigated, designed, costed and is listed as a priority project in the Lake Boga Community Plan 2018. The project has been the subject of an extensive public consultation process and will be approximately 600 metres long. Concept plans have been completed.

For 10 years Lake Boga was affected by drought, culminating with the lake completing drying up. Businesses & residents were left dealing with the devastating consequences for almost 2 years, impacting everyone in the community either economically & or socially.
Water has now returned to the lake and with this a renewed optimism & greater appreciation to take full advantage of the region’s unique asset – the lake, has emerged. This project will achieve this through its ability to strengthen critical connections between the Lake Precinct, township & key tourism assets resulting in economic (visitors) and social benefits.

This community path will enable people of all ages to access our beautiful lake and enjoy the freedom and safety of taking a walk with the kids in prams or on their scooters, connecting the caravan park to our fantastic Catalina Museum and café by the lake.

And lane ways to become paths through out the town with artwork and gardens at the edge as the town does not have footpaths for people to safely walk around the town
