Accessible Pathways and Shed to Build a Stronger Community

Maryborough Community House wish to build a shed and improve pathways and access to create a large multi-function, wet floor, work social gatherings area that will be accessed by all ages, genders and abilities. It will be used to provide programs based around health & wellbeing, gardening, small scale build projects, table tennis, dance exercise and more. The shed will allow the House to improve the mental and physical health of residents and allow the Community House to expand programs to meet and strengthen the needs of the community. The new pathways will beautify the area and remove OH&S issues.

The project will bring residents together from diverse background levels of health, wealth and education. Through social interaction, sharing of skills, knowledge and common goals or interest. The project will develop and strengthen the community during social interaction of residents in an inclusive and safe environment. Long term positive and productive benefits will be opportunities opening up for many resident after many years of disadvantage due to long term unemployment. Some Shed programs some may go onto further study or go back into full time employment. Making the project beneficial for the Central Goldfields Shire into the future.
