A permanent all weather outdoor stage in the school grounds of Yea Primary School that will be used as an inclusive learning area to promote new ways of learning and as a performance space for our kids. Importantly, it is a facility to invite the community to come together show their creative side and have fun with us.
Yea loves its footy and netball '#20YeaTeen' but we don't have a stage. We have lots of talented musicians and actors, and no shortage of local characters that love to tell stories. This space in the school grounds will be used as a classroom for year-round learning (in the heat and the fog). It will provide an opportunity to be on the stage and behind the scenes for the people in our community and will be opened to visiting talents so they can entertain and inspire us.

We SO need this!! There is limited opportunity to develop our children's music and performance abilities, what a great way to develop their self esteem and community engagement between a GREAT Primary School and a GREAT community!!

The district is very blessed with talented and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for music and theatre. We also have many young and aspiring youth that are keen as mustard and you never know what talent lies ready to be nurtured and coaxed. Many community and school based productions are forced into less than perfect venues because of the lack of suitable and affordable spaces. A Sound Dome and Stage at Yea Primary School would be a great community asset as well as supply the school with a learning space to encourage and inspire youth whose tendencies lie in the Arts. There are many sports related facilities and activities in country areas but nothing really caters for the arts at a time when we are struggling with a disproportionate number of disaffected youth in crisis. I can see this facility being a valuable tool in the fight against youth self harm, drug use and provide a place where the community can come together to share, support and bond.

YES! We so need this in Yea! The whole community loves the theatre, we are an ageing community so local theatre makes sense! It would be very well supported!
