Our van delivers to schools, OT’s, therapists, childcare centres and community groups. Packed with specialised resources/equipment for children with additional needs, we are increasing connectedness and access for essential learning tools. Educators loan the sensory toys and with them, structure activities or therapeutic play. They can create sensory areas within the child’s own environment, developing what works and eliminating what doesn’t. Trained staff will be available to promote the purpose of these resources. A local primary school will store the van. The van can attend local events to educate others about the benefits of sensory toys and learning through play.
Our passion is to unify children and families with meaningful experiences. Our community revealed a lack of resources and support for families with children experiencing anxiety/ sensory impairments/ learning difficulties or challenging behaviours. We reduce financial vulnerability and isolation by providing expensive toys that are often inaccessible. Our lending system reduces landfill. By finding the right tools for our young people they become engaged, stay in school and develop a broader set of skills to enhance their development. By creating access to this unique service and encouraging networking, we are building a more inclusive community.
