In the past six years, enrolments at our community house have tripled and the number of courses, classes and workshops we offer has doubled. Our project is to build an accessible, multi-purpose community building on the vacant land behind our ageing Community House. This will enable us to continue to provide much needed support, engagement, learning and training activities, that result in positive outcomes for everyone in our community. Activities will include: - education and care for those aged 0-5; - school holiday programs; - health and wellbeing classes; - art and creativity workshops; - community information sessions.
Our project will benefit the local community by providing space for new and innovative courses, classes and activities. The community building will enable us to extend the provision of vital occasional care services for families in the area. This building will have disability access so people of all abilities can participate in health, leisure, art and creative pursuits. Our activities, clubs and classes improve social connection and well-being of our residents. Community groups will also have access to this building. This project will support our efforts empowering our community in the prevention of family violence and prevention of gambling harm.

Park Orchards is a growing community which needs more communal spaces

This is a valuable facility in the area....with more and more people moving into the area, the facilities are no longer adequate. The facility is fairly old and an upgrade is vital to take it into the future so more community activities can be held there.
