With increasing visitation by Vietnam Veterans, tourists, students and the general
public, Wall – The book will provide information related to the Australian
story as depicted by the visual narrative presented on the wall. The publication will
provide a much needed adjunct; sharing background information about the images
presented, why they were selected, an outline of the key events depicted on the wall
and those who took and/or supplied the pictures.
The project aims to bring together direct and indirect personal stories
related to the wall and establish an extended tribute to Veterans and family now
connected by the project.

Anecdotally, the commemorative wall has bought economic benefit to the town through increasing numbers of visitors seeking accommodation, cafes and restaurants. This project will broadcast the commemorative wall to a broader audience encouraging a further increase in local tourism with social, economic, and educational benefits. Over time, this will underpin broader and revitalization of local infrastructure and place making.
