Why is it that as we age we think we are no longer allowed to play? Imagine how exciting it would be if Horsham had a playground that catered for all ages and abilities. A place where instead of sitting and watching your children or grandchildren play, you could join them in the fun. A place that is accessible and inclusive of everyone, where no one sits on the sidelines and watches. A place where everyone is inspired to participate and where, even for a little while, some aren't defined by their abilities.... Oh imagine such a magical place.

Regardless of age or ability the residents of Horsham would benefit from an appealing, accessible and safe space to exercise, socialise and play. Sunnyside Park is situated in a residential area in close proximity to the hospital, three schools, the Lutheran Retirement Village, and four aged care facilities. With an increasing number of Horsham residents aged over 50 and/or living with depression, diabetes, heart disease or obesity, improvements at Sunnyside will provide opportunities to exercise and socialise in a playful, inviting and safe setting. Let's make it happen!

A great idea for the Sunnyside area of Horsham - all decent parks and areas for kids and families to play are on the other side of Horsham - this area would be ideal to setup another family friendly play area.

Sunny side is also close to a primary school, which would ensure multiple uses, so that all abilities can have a safe & interactive play area.

Sunnyside area definitely needs an area to play and relax for all ages. Play equipment is well outdated, and not inclusive for broad ages or abilities. Love the idea of expression swing for adults to swing with young children, so many possibilities. Close to schools and the hospital, also means an opportunity for a play area if children need a break from visiting in hospital.

A great initiative for all residents in Horsham to relax, interact with others and keep active! Lets make it happen.
