The Voice of Lusitania is a historical not-for-profit organisation researching and presenting the cultural history of both Portugal in Australia (including the indigenous peoples), as well as the Celtic influence on both countries. This ancient story will be reflected by three rituals - Fado nights (traditional singing events of Portugal) the Fandango and Faena – dancing events telling the story of the ancient gods. According to Celtic mythology is the cosmic marriage between the sun and the moon. The conjunction of the Celtic Gods – Lugol – the God of Sun and Anya – the moon.

This project will bring together ethnic groups in Australia, from the indigenous peoples of the land, the Celtic community (including Irish, Scottish, French, German and all Celts) as well as the Portuguese community; one of the oldest ethnic groups in Australia.
It will tell the story of three ancient rituals that brought the community together to ensure good crops would be harvested through Fado, stories of long ago through song, Fandango, the dance to the god of water to have crops that would flourish and Faena, the worship of the sun god to conjure the darkness.

This will revive the interest and exploring the Celtic culture which is the biggest cultural group in Australia. Also bringing many cultures together to understand the historical rituals that are still celebrated today, but not expressed here in Australia.
I'd love to see this event, as would my Portuguese friends.
