Canadian Bay Calisthenics College has operated in Mt Eliza as a not for profit community sporting group for 40 years. Each year membership exceeds expectations with girls from 3yrs old to 65+ seeking to be part of this community group that provides so much more than the opportunity to learn and perform this unique Australian artistic sport. Lifelong friendships are formed and self-confidence built as the participants in the community connect through mutual respect and love of a sport in a supporting and caring environment. The college seeks a permanent residency that can support the community as it grows.

We need safe and consistent facilities and a place to call home for future generations of Canadian Bay. We envisage that this community space will be used by other local groups to provide a variety of women’s health, sport and business activities.
Calisthenics provides the benefits of developing fitness, strength, flexibility and self-confidence combining many arts; dance, theatre, singing all aligned to the Australian Government health initiative #girlsmakeyourmove. Canadian Bay College has been a linchpin of the Mt Eliza community for 40 years supporting many generations. We seek your support in ensuring we are there for many more to come.

What a great project this would be - encouraging women to stay active in sport from 3 years to Masters division. This club truly promotes a sense of community around a sport that promotes and grows strong young women.

After 40 fabulous years, sometimes finding it difficult to find a suitable venue for classes, it would be fabulous to have a purpose built space as a home for Canadian Bay Calisthenics College.

What a great asset this would be for the community; a safe, welcoming environment to promote health and fitness. Canadian Bay Calisthenics has been helping to develop positive, healthy women for 40 years, it would be great for them to have a permanent base.

Canadian Bay Calisthenics is a fantastic welcoming community and provides an excellent program to girls and women. Their sportsmanship over the last 40 years has earned the club a great reputation which the Mornington Peninsula can be proud to support.

It makes perfect sense for Canadian Bay Calisthenics College to have their own home. They have given to the Community for the past 40 years, not paying venue rental fees would keep the cost down for participating families.

It’s important that more Calisthenics clubs throughout victoria have home bases. They provide an invaluable service to girls and women of all ages. It’s a unique sport that allows our girls to grow up surrounded by healthy multigenerational women that have pride in their value to each other and their sport. Canadian Bay are wonderful role models for our sport!
