I happily gave this project my second vote after 'Pack My Lunch' and before 'Mollonghip Hall'. Best of luck!

This festival will be an inaugural event to celebrate our culture, recreation and environment. A festival that will bring many local groups, businesses and community members together to create a weekend of fun for everyone, every age from everywhere. The weekend will host a fundraising, gourmet dinner dance on the Friday night and all activities will finish on Sunday afternoon with a street parade including a billy cart race. Saturday and Sunday will have many concurrent activities across the whole township including a dusk lantern parade and bonfire. There will sport, recreation, food, arts, culture, history in a beautiful environment
This festival will continue positive cultural and environmental change since the devastating floods of 2011. The festival will be created BY the community FOR the community.
It will:
- improve community cohesion, connectedness and our resilience to any natural disasters
- celebrate our country charm, intimacy and increasing town pride
- bring all groups together to create a unified front to display to visitors
attract visitor numbers, creating social and economic benefits
- increase hospitality, food enterprises and improve jobs growth
- It will work towards making Creswick an even better place to live, work, play and raise a family

The community weekend used to be very popular with everyone in Creswick and many were disappointed when it stopped years ago so it would be very welcome to return to Creswick. It also brings visitors which means money for local businesses
Sounds like an extremely well thought out and very beneficial project to put a spotlight on our lovely town

Being relatively new to the community, I believe this would be a fantastic opportunity for the entire community to get together and also bring many more people into our lovely town and show off what a great place it is and why we love it so much.
