This 2019 Chinese Spring Festival Gala will include music, singing and dancing and will be held at the George Wood Performing Arts Centre. Through our regular Chinese New Year Concerts, the project allows Chinese people to feel more at home.

Passing on the tradition of Chinese culture music to the next future generations and allowing them to continue this valuable intelligible asset. Participant have an understanding of Chinese people, their culture, identity and opportunity to freely express and celebrate who they are, regardless of culture or identity.

Melbourne is one of Australia's most diverse cities - 33.2% of its residents in 2006 were born outside of Australia. The city has attracted waves of immigrants over the years. There are more than 50,000 people in Melbourne who were born in China, Greece, India, Italy, New Zealand and Vietnam.

People are connected to their community and also related to family networks, support networks and people with common or shared beliefs, value, friendships, music and arts interests and activities. People have the opportunity to understand other culture and identities.
