The 1st Myrtleford Scout Group has been forced leave its hall due to damage and deterioration after multiple flood events over a number of years.

The core role of the new hall will be for the meetings held by the Joey, Cub, Scout and Venturer sections.  These sections of the Scout Group cater for youth aged from 5 to 18 years.  Outside of these meeting times the hall will be able to be utilised by Scouts from across the state whilst they are in Myrtleford.

The Group has been running continuously since March 1910, providing the youth of Myrtleford with 108 years of personal development and community service. Throughout this period the contribution of Scouts to the community has been wide and varied.
Scout’s provides the opportunity for the youth of Myrtleford to be involved in a proven program that fosters personal development in the areas of Leadership, Community Involvement, Personal Growth and of course, Outdoor Activities.
The hall would also be available for use by the school community and be available for use by any other community group, providing a valuable community meeting asset.

A fantastic history of supporting young men and now women in thier growth for more than 100yrs- A new hall is well deserved. Also we need to support the growth of our kids more than ever with real life experiences that provide so many skills and connections to the community that schools cant do
