This worthwhile project will enable many Victorians to continue enjoying a range of unique and popular events that both engage visitors and involve community members and their families. The Mia Mia Hall provides, and will provide, an essential hub, a known meeting place, and a rallying point for the surrounding district and its inhabitants both young and old.

Our Mia Mia Hall provides a meeting space for events ranging from Australia Day breakfasts, flower shows, music events, opera recitals, choir performances, art shows, community meetings, birthdays and weddings. Inside is an acoustically perfect Hall where performers love to perform. There is a full commercial kitchen. Many locals attend our events and take pride in being able to invite friends and family to share the quality events we offer. The Hall's outsides need repairs - from the stumps to the rotting windows, broken downpipes, toilet facilities and external cladding. We want future generations to enjoy this community resource.
There is no other community building in the tiny rural town of Mia Mia. There is only a CFA Fire Station, a Recreation Reserve, and a Church. Our Hall provides the only covered space for community activities. There are no commercial buildings, the Hall is the only facility for the community to meet and enjoy a range of community activities where they can interact with their neighbours and friends. Rural life can be lonely. We seek to ensure that all community members, including newcomers, are aware of our activities with a free quarterly newsletter "Mia Mia Messenger".

This atmospheric historic hall has been the centre of Mia Mia life for more than a century. It is the perfect size for community and wider events, and its warm timber lining boards are the perfect acoustics for the musical events it has been hosting for many years - choirs, orchestra and opera. Its homely country vibe has seen many events from gardening competitions to Australia Day celebrations to weddings. Please support the needed maintenance of this lovely hall, and help keep it there for future generations.
This project will really be of a long standing benefit to the whole community.
Please support repairs for this unique and wonderful little hall. It provides so many important local events and it is a part of our Australian history.
This is a much-needed initiative for our community hall, and we heartily hope you are able to support us. Having lived in the UK (London and the country) until 2002, I moved to Melbourne and immediately became immersed in the arts and culture of that vibrant city. My husband and I built a home in Mia Mia in 2008 having scoured the countryside for all the elements dear to us; landscape, nature, community and the arts. Having attended events at the community hall of a world-class nature, I can say how happy we are to have 'found' Mia Mia.
The Mia Mia Community Hall is the one and only cultural hub of the township providing a stage for world-class performances by Australian and overseas artists. It would be a great loss to the wider community to lose these events due to a much needed maintenance upgrade. People attend from far and wide, like myself who has attended these magnificent occasions yearly for decades. Your generous support would be greatly appreciated.
The map above is not where the Mia Mia Hall is located. We are at 20 Valley Road Mia Mia 3444. If you look up Google you will see the correct location of you use the address of 20 Valley Rd. Some voters might like to see inside our Hall in order to know what you might be voting for. We will be organising some "Open House" sessions. If you would like to attend please send an email to miamiasocial@gmail.com, tell us if you prefer week day, AM, PM or evening, and we'll send you information on "Mia Mia Hall Open House" times.
The map has been changed since the previous comment - it now shows the correct location for the Hall - but I don't know how to edit the above comment.

This a wonderful hall, steeped in local history. It serves it local community and surrounds. I have performed in two concerts in the Mia Mia hall to wonderful audiences. It has a huge roll to play in the cultural fabric of the region.
