The Banyule Sugar Glider Project is complete
The Banyule Sugar Glider Project completed its project in March 2020.
The project installed nesting boxes made by the local men's shed in reserves, schools and gardens to record glider occupancy. Glider occupancy findings from the boxes are informing a strategy for the Banyule area to protect wildlife corridors from future development. Residents and students in the area have benefitted from having a deeper understanding of their native habitat, and the men's shed has created ongoing connections with local school's.
