Sustainable food relief for families in the Baw Baw Shire completed its project in December 2019.
The project expanded the Baw Baw Food Relief site in Warragul by adding more food storage space, refurbishing the adjacent factory unit and purchasing a new commercial fridge. They also installed a heating and cooling system, which has improved the working conditions for local donors and the 84 volunteers, and the shopping experience for the growing number of families relying on this valuable program. Profits raised from the new op shop in the adjacent factory are contributing to the sustainability of the food relief program, to benefit the community for years to come.
