Second Chance Community Animal Hospital completes project
Second Chance Community Animal Hospital completed its project in September 2019.
The project built Hume's first non-profit animal hospital, offering affordable or free health care for animals. The hospital has resulted in fewer animals being taken to the pound by owners who can't afford their medical bills and less animal suffering. This has relieved stress and financial burden for pet owners experiencing disadvantage. The hospital's community workshops are helping to spread the message about responsible pet ownership and are fostering connections between owners.
