Saving wombats with mange completes project
Saving wombats with mange completed its project in May 2020.
The project enabled Mange Management in north-eastern Melbourne to buy night vision cameras and cover administration costs for volunteers travelling to mange cases. The group were also able to make a years worth of treatment kits to disperse throughout the state so landowners can treat wombats for free. The program has raised awareness that wombats with mange can be treated, improving the life of wombats and the volunteers who treat them.
