NewGen 180 completes project
NewGen 180 completed its project in December 2019.
The project provides activities for African youth in Melbourne's inner western suburbs to do on the school holidays. Before the program, many of the youth involved found themselves involved in illegal activities over the holidays. By keeping them busy it is improving their safety and the safety of the community. The activities have also enabled local youths from different suburbs to form new friendships. Parents are also experiencing financial relief, as they often cannot afford to entertain their children themselves over the holidays.
