Monash Community Harvest completes project
Monash Community Harvest completed its project in February 2020.
The project established a social enterprise program turning locals' leftover harvests into preserved goods. A portion of these are donated to local food charities while the rest are sold to enable the program to sustain itself. Since January 2019, the program has saved close to 5 tonnes of food from landfill and turned the produce into preserves with a 12-month shelf life.
