Bell Primary School Community Sports Oval completes project
Bell Primary School Community Sports Oval completed its project in August 2019.
The project transformed a previously under-utilised open space at Bell Primary School into a community sports oval featuring a synthetic running track surrounding a 2,400 square metre piece of infield turf. The school uses the oval daily for education and sports and the local community access it after hours. The oval has hosted many community events, including an athletics carnival and school concert. The new outdoor space has enabled students and staff to expand educational opportunities to all year round. The project has also started discussions with the Darebin Falcons all-female sporting club to host new soccer clinics at the oval, which will make a positive impact for girls and women across the region.
